The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee has brought many exciting events to Britain in 2012 and this Saturday sees the opening of a dazzling exhibition showcasing the Queen’s Diamonds at Buckingham Palace.
Focusing on the many ways that the British Monarchy have used diamonds over the past 200 years, the exhibition showcases spectacular pieces which have either been aquired or inherited by the Queen. This includes the Coronation necklace and earrings originally created for Queen Victoria and subsequently worn by Queen Alexandra, Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth (The Queen Mother) and Her Majesty The Queen at their coronations. Make a date in your diary and prepare to be dazzled!
