How to wear... What's New

NYFW: The Guide

Stop traffic in the city this New York Fashion Week with our street-style guide on where to go and what to wear during the Big Apple’s big weekend…

The ultimate in laid-back chic, a leather backpack will let you run around town with ease and ensure you make all the important shows in style. We ventured out in our up-and-coming black Joanna Backpack to achieve this polished yet dressed-down look.

Snap-worthy Sidekick

Be the source of street-style snapping with a bag that provides a bright pop of colour in the frosty February landscape. Pair with one of New York’s infamous graffiti walls in a similar colour and you’ve got yourself Instagram gold. We busted out the Bobbi (available soon) to get our dream street style shot.

No glitzy evening would be complete without a scene-stealing Lulu Guinness clutch. Match your martini to our all new Lips Wristlet for a modern and versatile partner in crime. Looking for something a bit more sleek? Embody NYC in the roaring 20’s with the Olivia clutch, featuring art-deco-esque gold hardware. But when in doubt, smile and pout – put your faith in a classic Lulu Lips Clutch and greet the New York skyline with a big Lulu kiss.

The Standard

The Standard in the East Village has a beautiful view of downtown Manhattan. Plus they fluff up their bed with giant red lip pillows – we might be biased here but what’s not to love about that?

The Mercer

The Mercer Hotel is right in the center of SoHo and the restaurant downstairs is really good. The main reception area has a great chill-out area, complete with an impressive book-filled wall, for you to take a breather in between shows.

The Roxy

The Roxy Hotel boasts a great interior design and a super cool bar, as well the knack for throwing amazing fashion parties during NYFW. Pretend you’re in La La Land by dancing around outside the front of the hotel under the big sparkling bulb light.

Fresh Asian cuisine is paired with large windows, light-paneled wood ceilings and greenery to offer a relaxed and revitalising oasis hidden away from fashion week craziness at this beaut restaurant. Hidden away in Soho’s Ludlow House, the light and airy nature of this space means you get can some breathing space from NYFW while you eat. For the warmer months the venue also has a retractable roof garden.

The NoMad

Opt for elegance at the NoMad Hotel, where you dine in the refined Parlour restaurant or the more relaxed NoMad Bar. Consider this an excellent spot to show off your outfit for the day. We recommend clutches and cocktails to accompany this comfort-food hot spot after a long day running between shows.

So good they brought it across the pond here too – Balthazar is a timeless French/American bistro from British-born restaurateur Keith McNally in the heart of Soho. There’s food such as steak frites and oysters to fall head over heels for and it’s pretty easy to get mesmerised by the decor too – a dreamy mix of red velvet curtains, high ceilings, marble counters and mirrored walls. Dinner not your style? They also do a great breakfast and have a bakery too.
