Looking for somewhere to dine this weekend? Look no further than new Mexican restaurant Cielo Blanco, in Exmouth Market.

Taking inspiration from Frida Kahlo’s house in Mexico, the restaurant’s decor is a colourful blend of intricate ceramic tiling, bright bohemian designs and Mexican folk art.

A giant tree shoots out of a central communal table within the restaurant, while large skylights flood the restaurant with natural light, giving the eatery its name of Cielo Blanco – meaning ‘white sky’ in Spanish.

The new restaurant opened it doors in London last weekend, after establishing a successful presence in Leeds, having opened there in 2013. Enjoy the social side of Mexican eating at Cielo Blanco, with hero dishes including sharing boards and feast menus perfect to enjoy as a group.

The team behind London’s award-winning Portobello Star, Portobello Road Gin and ‘The Ginstitute’ Gin Museum have lent their drinks expertise to the restaurant, with a selection of tequila and mezcal on offer at the bar, which is based on an artist’s atelier.

Founder Ged Feltham said: “We’re delighted to be bringing our Cielo Blanco concept to London’s busy Exmouth Market. The restaurant will capture the sociable, fun feel of Mexican eating with a menu that caters to all audiences – whether it be a quick bite for lunchtime business diners or an all-evening feast for large parties and everyone in between.

“Naturally, our drinks offering will be just as important as the food. So it’s great that we will have a basement bar for people to come and relax and join us in our obsession and absolute love of the finest agave spirits.”

Cielo Blanco will be welcoming new customers with 50% off all drinks until May 20.
