Let your celebrations of International Womens Day continue and head over to the London Southbank Centre for a festival full of hot topics and achievements. The events will showcase the diversity of how far women have come, through everything from debates and activism to performances and discussions.
You can listen to Harriet Harman discuss her life as one of Britain’s most respected politicians, “A Woman’s Work” where you’ll get an insight of her fight for equality and respect for women in the workplace and society.
Or put your running shoes on and embark on a 5 mile routed journey with your friends around the streets of London, highlighting the strength of women as well as commemorating them.
Be sure to listen out for “Daughters of Reykjavik” an Icelandic, all female rap group who express subjects around feminism, sexual violence and freedom. They perform in solos, duos, trios and sometimes all 16 together!
But don’t worry if none of this takes your fancy, there is still loads to get involved with, just head over to the Southbank Centre website and see the full list of events running from the 7th of March until the 13th…
