Hands: A Lulu Guinness History
Hands have long been a key motif for the brand due to Lulu's fascination with the female form.
They also inject a healthy dose of playfulness and surrealism into collections - something the brand strives to achieve.
Lulu's hero, Elsa Schiaparelli, is often credited as pioneering the introduction of hands into fashion. The designer was heavily influenced by the Surrealist movement, where hands were an aesthetically pleasing addition.
Her 1934 clothing collection included belts made from hands, a handbag with hand fasteners and a jacket decorated with a hand motif.

Flash forward eighty years and Lulu introduced her hands backpack, which became a firm celebrity favourite - seen on the shoulders of Miley Cyrus, Bella Hadid, and Dakota Fanning.
