A Magical Celebration

A Magical Celebration
It was a true celebration of art and style at the launch of our folkloric collection with artist Bell Hutley

Artists, friends and a few very cute children gathered at Chelsea’s Beaverbrook Town House to celebrate the launch of our Folklore Of The Forest collection with artist Bell Hutley.

Displayed in a forest-like setting, guests including Amelia Windsor, Anouska Beckwith and Zeena Shah could delve into the fantastical collection and have a play with the folk-inspired pieces.

“The Forest Floor collection is inspired by the woodland which my father has created over the years”, said Bell. “I spent hours of my childhood here, exploring, learning and being curious; it was a place where we lived in our imaginations and walked into different worlds every day.”

Guests loved the hero piece of the collection - the Forest Floor Bag - a handheld black satin bag similar in shape to Lulu’s iconic Rose Basket Collectible. This mixed media embellished design is stuffed with the spotty red mushrooms festooned with leaves, the roots descending down through the satin ‘pale’.

Other pieces in the collection include a new boucle Bibi with Forest Floor landscape embroidery and more magical mushrooms. Smaller pieces include the novelty Frame Purse in mushroom red with white pearl stud embellishments, mushroom charms and embroidered satin pouches adorned with those red and white fungi again plus forest wildlife and the ‘I Put a Spell on You’ embroidered caption.

Mushrooms have never been so chic – as well as featuring on bags and pouches, they also provided the theme for the canapes and the nail art! Guests loved having their astrology readings by the amazing Florence Devereux, too. It was a magical event.
