Since the end of March, wine importer Elliot Awin has been running casual wine tastings from his living room over Instagram Live. Viewers are able to buy three bottles of wine from independent retailers prior to the evening to taste-a-long and listen to Elliot chat about the wines, the grape varieties, regions and people involved.
On the 1st May, his tasting focussed on Rosé and how Summer in the UK is more a state of mind than a season. “If summer was a wine, it would almost certainly be Rosé!” he says. Elliot has suggested a few for us to try.

The sub region of Provence known as Sainte-Victoire is famed for its super textural, seductively fresh wines with a delicate freeze-dried red fruit character. Mas de Cadenet, now run by the 7th generation of the Negrel family produces wines that fit this description perfectly.
